How Buddy Hield would fit on the Lakers
It isn’t rocket science to figure out why Buddy Hield would be a tremendous fit on the Lakers. Throughout his career, Hield has never had the space that he would have if he were to make the move to Los Angeles. Having a pass-first facilitator like LeBron James targeting him, who can make pinpoint passes to his shooting pocket, would allow Hield to flourish on the offensive end.

Spacing the floor is something that Hield is more than comfortable with as he had a massive 72.7 percent three-point attempt rate in 2020-2021. That goes to show that the Kings used Hield almost exclusively as an outside shooter. The Bahama native chucked up a career-high 10.2 three-pointers a game during this season.
Finding a fearless, yet consistent outside shooter at the two-guard spot would be a valuable addition to the Lakers. Not only would it give them a third scorer on the offensive end, it would take some pressure off of the other guards and wings when it comes to scoring, which would allow them to exert more energy on the defensive end.
Hield has also shown an ability to score in other ways besides from outside the three-point line, giving LeBron James and Davis someone that can take over on certain nights. While fans will undoubtedly want another superstar to join forces with Los Angeles’ dynamic duo of LeBron and Davis, Hield would also be an ideal acquisition for the Lakers this offseason.
