San Antonio Spurs Receive: G Donte DiVincenzo, C Brook Lopez, G/F Pat Connaughton, MIL 2022 2nd Round Pick, MIL 2023 2nd Round Pick
If the Spurs are to trade away both Derrick White and Jakob Poeltl in the offseason, then they will need to be getting a big return, which is definitely what they would be getting from Milwaukee. Donte DiVincenzo is a rising young player in this league given his two-way play at the shooting guard position and Brook Lopez is an excellent veteran center that San Antonio could utilize for years to come.

Pat Connaughton is also an interesting player involved in this trade and could definitely be someone of interest to the Spurs given his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and bea tough perimeter defender. For the Bucks, though, they would likely not make this trade unless they fall short of the NBA Finals again.
They are set to take on the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, so if they lose this series, then they will definitely be looking for ways to add more talent around Giannis, Holiday and Middleton.

Adding Derrick White would give the Bucks another key talent in their backcourt next to Jrue Holiday and somebody that they can rely on to score at a higher-level than both DiVincenzo and Connaughton. As for Poeltl, he is not as great of a scorer as Brook Lopez is and does not have an outside shot, but he would be another big body for the Bucks to throw in the paint as someone who can grab the rebound and get the ball out in transition.
A lot would have to happen for both teams in the offseason for a trade like this to occur, but Derrick White to the Bucks and Donte DiVincenzo to the Spurs is definitely intriguing for both teams. As a result, let’s check out this trade from both teams’ perspectives and break down if this is something that we could see in the offseason.
