How would Bradley Beal fit in with the Miami Heat?
A pairing of Bradley Beal and the Miami Heat seems like a match made in heaven due to what both sides are looking for. Beal is seeking a team that is solely focused on winning a title, and Miami desperately needs another player that can lighten the workload for Butler and Adebayo. Seeing that Beal is only 27 years old, he would also give the Heat a long-term franchise piece moving forward.

If Beal were to join Miami, it would make their offense less predictable since Butler won’t be relied upon as much to create for others. Butler and the other players on the roster can play more off-ball on offense, and Beal would excel in pick-and-roll situations with Adebayo. It would be ideal for Adebayo to develop some sort of mid-to-outside shot to generate even more spacing in the offense.
Trading for Beal would give Butler more opportunities to rest, and wouldn’t force Butler to exert all of his energy during the regular season. The three-time All Star would give Miami a true three-level scorer and a player who is a willing defender. It’s a prerequisite for players to be a capable defender if you are going to remain in Miami long-term.
The Heat have been discussed as a possible landing spot for Beal in recent years, and there are multiple reasons why they’d be a perfect fit. Despite Miami’s unknown plans for Oladipo as he enters free agency, Riley should do everything in his power to manufacture a trade that would make the Heat a legitimate threat to win some hardware.
