What would it take to acquire Bradley Beal?
Look, I know the Heat were reluctant to part ways with Tyler Herro (allegedly) in trade talks for James Harden. That being said, if Miami wants to toss their hat in the ring for Beal, they’re going to need to start the deal with Herro. Of course, there will need to be plenty more added for the Heat to have a chance to pry away the All-Star shooting guard.

Along with Herro, Miami could include Kendrick Nunn in a sign-and-trade, , Andre Iguodola, and KZ Okpala. To cap off the trade, the Heat could include their first-round picks from 2022, 2024, and 2025. The Wizards might throw in a player or two if they need to match up the money that’s exchanging hands in the trade.
There’s no doubt that Herro doesn’t possess the trade value he had during the bubble in the 2019-2020 season, but he still has potential to become a talented scorer in the NBA. Nunn also thrives on the offensive end, and would give Washington a scoring guard to replace Russell Westbrook when he inevitably forces his way out of Washington when Beal departs.
To make the money work on both sides, the Heat would likely need to include either Trevor Ariza or Iguodala. And aside from the draft picks, Okpala would give the Wizards a developmental player that showed very small flashes of potential.
