John Wall
It was disappointing to see the Washington Wizards refrain from giving John Wall one more chance to make some with Bradley Beal as his running mate.
John Wall would be traded to the Houston Rockets prior to the 2020-2021 campaign in exchange for Russell Westbrook. While Westbrook helped lead an improbable run to the playoffs, Wall was stuck on a Rockets team that finished with the worst record in the association at 17-55.

John Wall was among the players on Houston’s roster that was sat in the final weeks of the season due to organization’s desire to give the younger players more run. Given the outlook of the Rockets, it’s hard to envision Wall wanting to remain on a team that isn’t making noise in the Western Conference anytime soon.
In the 40 games that John Wall was active this season, the speedy point guard proved that he is still a more-than-capable guard. The Kentucky product concluded this season with 20.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while playing 32.2 minutes per game.
Similar to Kemba Walker, it could be a challenge for Houston to find a trade partner to take on the $91 million remaining on John Wall’s final two years. Though, the same was said about Westbrook before the Wizards made a move for the stat-stuffing point guard.
