Kevin Love
Yes, it’s a stretch to call Kevin Love a so-called “star” in the NBA still, but he’s a player that can still bring skills to the table that NBA teams are looking for. Love, since his days with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, has evolved into a stretch-four that is capable of scoring in a multitude of ways. That being said, his current relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers seems to be headed toward a divorce.

Kevin Love has had run ins with teammates in recent seasons, and his effort on some nights is worth being questioned. Also, Love is owed $59 million over the next two seasons, which could lead the Cavaliers to part ways with the veteran forward. With Cleveland not in a position to compete in the Eastern Conference, they have no choice but to continue their ongoing rebuild.
There aren’t many teams that would go out of their way to acquire Kevin Love, especially with his contract in mind. However, a player like Love fits a handful of team’s offensive systems given his ability to knock down threes at an efficient clip (has shot 36+ percent from beyond the arc since the 2013-2014 season).
Health is also an issue as Kevin Love has missed a total of 116 games in the past three years alone. The Cavaliers might have to include other pieces to incentivize a team to inherit the rest of Love’s deal if they want to get a trade completed.
