Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?

One of the biggest reasons Gordon Hayward did not go to the Pacers last offseason in free agency was because the Celtics did not want to trade him for Myles Turner. Now though, the Hornets really need a center and Turner is a player they have been targeting for years now, so this is something that should definitely be talked about.

Adding Gordon Hayward would be a big addition for the Pacers because it gives them yet another offensive weapon that they can lean on for production. Assuming everybody is healthy to start the season, the Pacers would have Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, T.J. Warren, Domantas Sabonis and now Gordon Hayward, making for one of the better starting fives in the entire league.

From being able to knock down three-point shots to being able to facilitate an offense, Grodon Hayward has taken on many new roles in his career and would find a lot of the same success he has in Charlotte with the Pacers.

Trading away Jeremy Lamb takes away a little bit of depth on the wing, but he was hurt most of the year anyways and they do not really need him in the grand scheme of things. Losing Turner does hurt the Pacers defense, but Domantas Sabonis could move to the center position, making the Pacers’ offense much better than it was with Turner.

If the Hornets are willing to listen to the Pacers this offseason, this is definitely a trade that Indiana should explore, especially given Hayward’s talent and his experience in this league as a leader.
