Does this trade make sense for the LA Clippers?
If the Clippers are truly interested in adding a high-level guard in the offseason, then Malcom Brogdon is definitely someone they should take a long look at, even if he will cost them a lot. Not only is he one of the better two-way guards in the league, but he is a playmaker that could thrive next to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Not to mention, Brogdon is in a favorable position for the Clippers since the Pacers are coming off a disaster of a season and there is tension within this organization. Now is the time to act on any of the Pacers players, especially with some of them potentially wanting out of Indiana. He will be a name to watch in NBA trade rumors, as a result.

If the Clippers can flip Patrick Beverley and Rajon Rondo into Malcolm Brogdon, that would be a big win regardless of how many draft picks they would have to give up. This team needs somebody else besides Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to be able to carry the load on offense, which is exactly what Brogdon would do for them.
This trade would have to be done on draft night most likely, as in order for the Clippers to include their 2021 first-round pick, they would have to draft someone for the Pacers and then get a trade done before he signs his rookie contract.
These types of deals have been made before on draft night involving big star players, but it is rare for teams to coordinate drafting players for each other and then involving them in a trade. Overall though, this is definitely a trade that favors the Clippers.
