Sacramento Kings
It is likely that Scottie Barnes is picked in the top 10. The Kings should be in position to add the forward and he could be high on their list. It works out well because Barnes would fit in well with what Sacramento is attempting to build.
Their timeline does not have them turning into a win-now team soon, which means Barnes would be able to polish his game up a bit over the next couple of years.
Barnes needs to improve on the offensive end of the floor. In Sacramento, they like to play fast led by De’Aaron Fox. It would benefit Barnes to play with an elite point guard in a fast-paced offense.
He can get to the rim and finish in the lane. Barnes is a playmaker because of his athleticism and explosiveness, but is a bit raw otherwise. That can be ironed out as his game matures.
For now, Barnes will be effective because of his size and length. This will help on both ends of the floor. For Sacramento, he could help the front-court. They have missed on some NBA Draft picks recently and Barnes needs to step up to turn fortunes around.
The Kings will be aggressive in the offseason and could make some trades involving big-name players. If they do, they will need their first-round pick to step up even more. Barnes will have plenty of opportunity for the Kings next year if he is taken by them.
