The Clippers have to be better defensively

The Clippers offense has struggled at times in this series, but the main problem with them right now is that their defense is terrible. They gave up way too many easy baskets and acted like they could just outscore the Mavericks and that defense did not matter.

Well, they have given up 113 points in Game 1 and 127 points in Game 2, so I think it is pretty safe to say that defense matters a lot for the Clippers! Dallas is shooting 48.8% in this series from the floor and are making over 40 shots per game, which is not acceptable for the Clippers. 

They have to be better defensively if they are to have any shot of getting back in this series because right now, the Mavericks are walking all over the Clippers and making them look like the laughing stock of the NBA playoffs. 

The Clippers were the 8th best ranked defense in terms of defensive rating during the regular season, but since the last week of the regular season, they have looked terrible. This is not the same Clippers’ team we saw early in the season and they really need to do some soul searching over the next few days to find themselves again, otherwise, they will be out of the NBA playoffs in two games.
