3 front-court targets for the Charlotte Hornets in the offseason

After what was a great season, the Charlotte Hornets ultimately came up short of making the actual playoff field, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers in the 9/10 play-in game. While they missed the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season, this season was definitely a win for the Hornets for numerous reasons.

Not only did they find the future of their franchise in LaMelo Ball, but other young guys in Miles Bridges, Jalen McDaniels, P.J. Washington, and Terry Rozier all stepped up at times throughout the season and put together great years.

Now, the future is extremely bright in Charlotte, but they have to find ways to improve in the offseason because they will have plenty of cap space to do something with. Charlotte is expected to have nearly $29 million in cap space with Cody Zeller and others set to become free agents, which is why they will likely target a big man to pair with P.J. Washington in free agency.

Re-signing Devonte’ Graham will definitely take up a lot of the Hornets’ cap space, but they desperately need another front-court option and while the free agent class this year will be weak, there are some intriguing options that Charlotte could go after.

With that said, let’s take a look at three big man options the Hornets could target in the offseason in order to push them over the edge next season and make the playoffs.
