Anthony Edwards leads all rookies in scoring

Early on, LaMelo Ball had the uphand in terms of scoring numbers out of all rookies in the league, but Anthony Edwards quickly took this mark over and has led all rookies in scoring for the vast majority of the season.

Edwards is averaging 18.5 points per game this year and he leads all rookies in total points scored with 1205 total points on the season to this point. Tyrese Halbiruton is in second in this category and only has 753 total points on the year!

Since he became a regular starting for the Timberwolves and one of their main focal points on the offensive-end of the court, Anthiny Edwards has been impossible to stop at times and definitely does not look like a rookie.

Edwards scored a career-high 42 points against the Phoenix Suns, the best team record-wise in the NBA this year, which is the highest amount of points scored by a rookie this season. Offensively, Edwards is doing things rookies normally do not do and as a result, he has been setting new rookie records left and right.

Over the last two months, Edeards is taking roughly 19.3 shot attempts per game, which not only leads all rookies, but is amongst the league leaders in this category over this time frame. Anthony Edwards has made his mark on the NBA by being an elite-level offensive player and he is only going to get better as time goes on!
