New York has more depth than many realize
When you think of the Knicks and this team offensively, it is easy to point out Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett as this team’s main two scoring options, but the Knicks actually have a ton of underrated depth on their roster.
We have touched on both Derrick Rose and Nerlens Noel and their impacts to the Knicks, but Alec Burks, Reggie Bullock, Elfird Payton, Taj Gibson and rookie Immanuel Quickley are just as important to New York’s success this year.
Every player on this year’s Knicks team has a role and they have played their roles to perfection, hence why this team is having so much success right now! Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett are fantastic players, but they are not single-handedly carrying this team this season.

They may not have the most “eye-popping” roster in terms of big names or well-known talent, but the Knicks like being underdogs and having people count them out. Given what this team does defensively and the amount of depth they have, they can match up with any team in this league and find success doing so.
