He does all of the little things to help his team win games and is very adaptive
When you look at Davion Mitchell as a hole, it is really hard to point out anything bad about his game or anything he does wrong. Sure, his free-throw shooting numbers are not ideal, but he checks off almost every other box there is to check off for a draft prospect.
Age could also be considered a “weakness” for Mitchell, but he is an experienced player who has grown over the years into a very sustainable basketball talent. Given that teams inside the Top-10 are generally looking for players that can help them win games immediately and turn things around, there is no reason why Mitchell should be considered one of these players.
He can play at a high-level on the offensive-end of the court, as well as on the defensive-end of the court, which is why Davion Mitchell needs to be a Top-10 pick in this year’s draft.

Mitchell is not going to be considered a “franchise-altering player” and he is not likely to start immediately, but his defensive tenacity and instincts, as well as his perimeter shooting will help him stay on the court when given the opportunity to prove himself as a rookie.
Davion Mitchell has the ability to play with or without the ball in his hands on offense and while he is only 6’2”, he really can fill any role his team needs him to play. He can be a facilitator, a catch-and-shoot threat and then defensively, be a great one-on-one defender, which is why he is one of the most NBA ready players in this year’s draft.
