Ranking the 3 best fits for Houston Rockets in 2021 NBA Draft

Cade Cunningham

The Rockets currently have the worst record in the league but are in a battle with the Timberwolves. This is not like other leagues where the worst team automatically get the first pick. Regardless, the Rockets will have a good chance to land in the top spot and if they do, there is no doubt who they will be taking.

Cade Cunningham has solidified himself as the first-overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He has the highest ceiling and could turn into a superstar. During his only season at Oklahoma State, Cunningham showed great versatility and this is important given his size. He is a strong ball handler and can score at all three levels. He averaged 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 40% from three-point range.

Cunningham had a tough showing in the NCAA Tournament but his value has been known since way before that. He will provide a boost on the offensive end of the floor but he is also a strong defender. At 6-foot-8, Cade Cunningham has great length and moves well laterally.
