Cade Cunningham is a versatile point guard who does more than facilitate
Cade Cunningham is a terrific ball-handler and is more than capable of creating plays for his teammates, but he is also one of the best pure scorers in the 2021 NBA Draft class. Whether it is driving to the rim and rising up over smaller defenders, pulling up from the mid-range or pulling up from three-point range, Cade Cunningham has the ability to score in many different ways and is an elite-level offensive player.
He may not be the quickest or most explosive player in the 2021 NBA Draft class, but because of his length, size and scoring ability, it is hard for any team to pass up the chance to land him in this draft. Having a 6’8” point guard who can create for others and himself is extremely valuable in the league today.
His size allows him to take advantage of smaller guards in the NBA, if Cunningham plays the point guard position, he will have an advantage over almost every person that guards him. Scoring is a big part of Cunningham’s game, but his ability to rebound is also a very underrated aspect of his game.

Cunningham averaged 6.2 rebounds per game at Oklahoma State this past year, including just under one offensive rebound per game. If he can consistently crash the glass in the NBA and make a difference rebounding as well, there is really no way to stop him.
He may not have been a high assists-man at Oklahoma State, but Cunningham’s ability to create opportunities for his team and find his open teammates is definitely above-average. Add that onto his pure abilities as a scorer and his ability to pass makes Cade Cunningham the most dangerous player in the 2021 NBA Draft.
