Evan Mobley
If the Minnesota Timberwolves do not land the first pick, they still have a chance at an elite prospect with Evan Mobley. This might be the best fit for the Timberwolves overall but Cunningham is just too good to pass on. Some will argue that the Timberwolves should take Mobley first overall if they have the chance but that is not a likely scenario. With that being said, Mobley is the next best thing for Minnesota.
After Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves are extremely weak in the front court. They lack depth and explosiveness that can help them compete. This is where Evan Mobley would make an impact. Mobley is a true seven-footer that can make a difference on both ends of the floor. He is a true playmaker and athletic freak.
Evan Mobley averaged 16.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in his freshman year at USC. Mobley added 2.9 blocks per game on the defensive end. Mobley is a player that is ready to start in the NBA right away. If Minnesota holds onto Towns, the frontcourt could be scary with the addition of Mobley.

There is not much doubt on where the first pick will go but Evan Mobley is the player that could make that team think twice. If Minnesota lands in the top two, they will get an impact player right away.
