Cade Cunningham
Cade Cunningham entered Oklahoma State as a freshman and was immediately the best player on the floor. He earned the Big 12 Player of the Year award after averaging 20.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
In the regular season, Cunningham shot 40% from three-point range. He did not have a good showing in two games in the NCAA Tournament but there is no doubt who the first-overall pick will be.
The NBA Draft Lottery will essentially be a sweepstakes for Cade Cunningham. The 6-foot-8 wing has a chance to become a franchise-changing presence for an NBA team. That is what the team drafting first overall will be looking for. Cunningham can handle the ball on the perimeter and score at all three levels.
It’s clear that Cade Cunningham would solidify the backcourt with Edwards and allow Minnesota to make some big moves if they find trade partners. Cunningham will be the favorite to win Rookie of the Year next season and will make an immediate impact.

If Minnesota is lucky enough to land the first pick once again, we know where they are going to go. This would turn things around a bit for Minnesota and give them a core to build around for the future.
