Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets had an overhaul in the front office last year and they were interested in completely rebuilding the roster from the ground up.
Stephen Silas was brought in as head coach and will get a pass for the first couple years of his tenure. The Rockets have already made some big-splash moves and there are more to be made in the future.
Eric Gordon is one of the veteran players that has spent plenty of time in Houston. He is not a long-term piece for the future and this is why he could be sent away. It was featured NBA trade rumors that Gordon was going to be moved at the NBA trade deadline but the Rockets decided to hang onto him.

The Rockets were unable to find a trade partner and this could change in the offseason. If they can get a first-round pick in the deal, it is a no-brainer for a rebuilding team like Houston.
When the time comes, it will be interesting to see if the front office in Houston remains aggressive. There are moves to be made and players to be sent away if they get the right deal in return.
