Houston Rockets Recieve: Eric Bledsoe, 2022 1st Round Pick (via LAL)

Eric Gordon has been one of the veterans in NBA trade rumors for weeks now. He was not moved at the NBA trade deadline and at the moment, seems like the biggest trade piece for Houston.

The Rockets were able to unload other veteran players and attempt to dump salary and expiring contract. It started with Robert Covington before the 2020-21 NBA season and continued after James Harden requested a trade.

This trade would continue that goal for the Rockets. In return, they would get Eric Bledsoe to be a short-term option at the top of the offense. Houston would also get a first-round pick in 2022.

The Pelicans haven’t been helped by the veteran presence of Eric Bledsoe since his skill-set isn’t cohesive with the key players. Using his contract to facilitate the deal makes the most sense.
