Terrence Ross – G – Orlando Magic

Marquese Chriss and Trevor Ariza are two cheap signings the Warriors could make this offseason, but Terrence Ross is a key trade target for the Warriors. After trading away Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier at the NBA trade deadline this year, the Magic have made their intentions to rebuild clear and it would be shocking to not see them shop the veteran guard Ross this offseason.

Not only is he one of the better bench scorers in the league today, but Terrence Ross has been putting together a fantastic season in his 9th year in the league. In 40 games with Orlando this year, Ross has averaged 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and is shooting 34.6% from three-point range.

His pure scoring abilities is what would make an impact with the second-unit in Golden State, but the only question about acquiring him is how the Warriors could free up the cap space to acquire him.

Ross is owed $12.5M next season, making him very affordable and worthwhile contractually, but the Warriors do not have virtually any cap space and would have to give up some key guys to get him. If they could find a way to get Ross, the Warriors would definitely benefit from this trade, but getting him could cost them guys like Kevon Looney, Eric Paschall and possibly even Andrew Wiggins should he be included in a multi-team deal.

Terrence Ross would definitely have a major impact on the Warriors and play a fantastic role off-the-bench, but seeing as they are struggling to find cap space to re-sign key players, it seems like a longshot for them to be able to find a way to trade for Ross with no limitations.
