Marquese Chriss – F/C – Free Agent
Marquese Chriss was on the Warriors’ roster to begin the season and was set to play a big role for them in the frontcourt before suffering a broken leg just two games into the season. At theNBA trade deadline this year, the Warriors traded Marquese Chriss to the Spurs for cash and salary relief and soon after, the Spurs released the 23-year old big man.
Now, Chriss is a free agent and will likely remain a free agent through the offseason, which is why the Warriors could look to bring him back on a minimum deal. The Warriors’ front-office and coaching staff has always talked highly of Chriss and his athletic abilities he brings to their frontcourt, which is why they could potentially look to add him to their rotations once again.
After being drafted 8th overall in 2016, Marquese Chriss’ career has not panned out the way he had hoped coming out of Washington. Since his rookie season with the Phoenix Suns, Chriss has never really been given other opportunities to prove himself even though he is an above-the-rim athlete that has the potential to be a great rebounder and shot-blocker.

This seems like a various obvious move for the Warriors to make and it seems like this was something that was planned out before the NBA trade deadline. Golden State kept Chriss throughout the season and then was able to trade him for cash considerations, so it would make complete sense for them to want to bring him back.
