Does this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?
After just investing a ton of money into Russell Westbrook, the Wizards obviously do not want to trade Bradley Beal and give up on their superstar duo, but if Beal wants to be traded, they will have to grant him his wish this offseason. As a result, the Wizards could be facing yet another rebuild process, but this time, they would have a ton of assets and young talents to work with.
Not only would they look to trade Bradley Beal, but they would likely fully commit to a total rebuild and look to salvage some value by trading Russell Westbrook as well. Focusing strictly on the Beal deal outlined earlier, Washington would be receiving three first-round picks, two first-round pick swap, Kevin Knox II and a rookie phenom in Immanuel Quickley.
That is a ton of value for a team that is near the bottom of the standings in the league and for a team that does not have much overall talent on their roster. Not only will those draft picks be used to get high-level, young prospects, but they can also be leveraged in a trade for the Wizards to potentially bring in another superstar player to pair with Westbrook, should they hold onto him.

The possibilities are endless for the Wizards, but this trade definitely gives them a ton of value in terms of building for the future, which will likely be their main goal should they trade away Bradley Beal in the offseason. This will be a key storyline to follow in NBA trade rumors as the time approaches.
Immanuel Quickley has a chance to be a really solid player for years to come and Kevin Knox could definitely be a solid rotational player given the opportunity to prove himself. Adding these two young players and a slew of draft picks is not a bad idea for the Wizards, especially if they will be trading Beal.
