DeMar DeRozan – San Antonio Spurs
If the Grizzlies are looking to make a big move, then they should look no further than DeMar DeRozan. The veteran wing is in the final year of his contract and the Spurs have fielded calls on him leading up to the trade deadline, making him an All-Star level talent that could be on the move.
With the Grizzlies looking to move Gorgui Dieng, they could potentially find a suitor for the veteran center to be able to free up cap space to acquire DeMar DeRozan, the only question is whether or not they are willing to pay the price San Antonio wants in return for their star player.
Nobody really knows what the Spurs want/are going to do as a franchise moving forward other than that they are going to continue to build with their young, emerging talents. They will likely want a couple of first-round picks and possibly another young talent for DeMar DeRozan, which could mean the Grizzlies would have to trade a player like Brandon Clarke or rookie Xavier Tillman to get him.

With how well Memphis has played this year and with Jaren Jackson Jr. soon to return from injury, this move is not necessary for the Grizzlies to make, which is why they will likely hold off on making a big move like trading for DeMar DeRozan.
However, the possibility still exists and having a trio of Morant, DeMar DeRozan and Jackson Jr. could be enough to push the Grizzlies back into the playoff picture in the Western Conference.
