5 intriguing players who could be moved at NBA trade deadline

The 2021 NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching. The lead-up to the deadline is one of the most hectic, fast-paced times in the NBA calendar. However, this year’s deadline could be a little tamer than years past. There already are plenty of intriguing NBA trade rumors to track.

The NBA expanded the playoffs this season, as 10 teams will make it instead of eight. The top 6 seeds will be safe, while the bottom four will have a play-in tournament to make the eight-team field.

As a result of that change, there will be a lot more teams alive for a playoff spot than in years past, making the clear designation between buyers and sellers more skewed. Teams such as the Houston Rockets, who are in second to last in the Western Conference, are only 3.5 games out of a playoff spot.

Because of that, there will be plenty of rumors swirling. Outside of Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, who doesn’t want to leave Washington, there aren’t many All-Star caliber players available as in years past.
