Why This Trade Would Benefit The Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are a win-now team and have shown that over the years. They are looking to continue climbing up the standings in hopes of putting themselves in a better position for the postseason. This could happen if they add another impact player, especially one that could contribute on both ends of the floor.
Denver lost Jerami Grant in free agency, which had some repercussions early on. The Nuggets have figured it out and are beginning to play well. Adding Gordon would fill that hole that was left by Grant. Gordon is shooting 41.1% from three-point range this season.
This is a dynamic of his game that has improved overtime. He will continue to grow on the offensive end if he can stay on he floor consistently. The Nuggets have some depth and Gordon would add to that. This is a deal that would add another impact playmaker for a team in a difficult Western Conference.
