Hassan Whiteside – Sacramento Kings
The Los Angeles Lakers have been searching the trade market for a couple weeks now for another big man and they could potentially settle in on targeting Hassan Whiteside. The Lakers have been interested in the veteran center ever since the offseason and showed interest in signing him in free agency before ending up signing Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol.
With Anthony Davis still being sidelined with a calf injury and Marc Gasol not being the impactful player they thought he would be, bringing in Hassan Whiteside could make a ton of sense for the Lakers, especially since he is still one of the better shot-blockers in the league.
While he has missed some time this year due to health and safety protocols, Hassan Whiteside has still been productive in his limited minutes with the Kings, averaging 8.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

The Sacramento Kings are expected to be “sellers” at the NBA trade deadline and have already made Hassan Whiteside available in trade talks over the last few weeks, which is another reason why the Lakers could pursue the 31-year old center.
Sacramento wants to move on from some of their older players for future assets and with the Lakers looking to defend their championship, trading for Hassan Whiteside definitely presents them with a ton of upside at a low-risk, high-reward price.
