LAL: Wayne Ellington

DET: Jared Dudley, 2023 2nd Round Pick, 2024 2nd Round Pick

Wayne Ellington is a rotation piece that would give the Los Angeles Lakers another outside threat. Both Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have shown inconsistencies over the years.

LeBron James has always benefitted from having shooters on the perimeter and Ellington would be one of the better ones the Lakers could acquire. This would be a move with the playoffs in mind to maximize the Lakers’ floor spacing and shooting capabilities.

The return would not be large. The Lakers have plenty of assets but would not have to give up any. Jared Dudley would be the player going to Detroit, along with two draft picks. This is something the Pistons could use in the midst of their rebuild.
