Why This Trade Would Benefit The Detroit Pistons

There is no one safe on the Pistons at the moment. We have seen trade rumors involving Jerami Grant and this is because of the awful state that the team is currently in. It is going to take sometime for the front office to rebuild and that includes sending away some expiring contracts.

Wayne Ellington is in the final year of his deal and is making just $2 million. This means that the Pistons will not be able to get much but anything is better than nothing for a team that is down. They would be able to land a draft pick that could be used in another deal down the line.

This was supposed to be a development year for players like Killian Hayes and Saddiq Bey. Hayes has suffered an injury that halted his progress while Bey is scoring 10.5 points per game.
