Nikola Vucevic – Orlando Magic

The San Antonio Spurs have been one of the few teams that have expressed a lot of interest in Nikola Vucevic over the last few weeks and for good reason. This team does not really have reliable play from their frontcourt and adding an All-Star center like Vucevic could be exactly what this organization needs to elevate themselves to championship contention again.

With DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge being the Spurs two veteran leaders, along with high-level, young talents in Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Lonnie Walker and Keldon Johnson, it is definitely not crazy to think that this team is one piece away from being a real championship contender.

DeRozan should have been an All-Star this year with the way he has elevated his play with the Spurs and with eight different players scoring in double-figures this season, San Antonio finds themselves as one of the most versatile and difficult teams for opponents to guard.

They have numerous players that can knock down big shots and their bench currently ranks 5th in the league in scoring, which is one of the main reasons why San Antonio is a dangerous team. It does not seem like the Spurs are close to being a championship team like they were with Duncan, Parker and Ginobili, but the addition of Nikola Vucevic could make this team extremely difficult to stop in the playoffs.

The center position is the only weakness of this team and by adding a guy like Nikola Vucevic, the San Antonio Spurs would have virtually no flaws on their team. They would quickly become a Top-10 scoring team in the league and with them already being a Top-10 defensive team in the league, it would be very hard to stop the Spurs this season.

The only thing about trading for Nikola Vucevic is that they would have to give up a ton of value. The Magic have made it known that they are not interested in trading Vucevic, so San Antonio would likely have to give up quite a fair amount of draft picks and possibly a couple of their young, highly-talented players.
