This Celtics-Thunder trade reunites Al Horford in Boston

Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals a season ago and it is hard to forget how Bam Adebayo dominated them down low. They did not do enough in the offseason to improve and we could see the move made at the NBA trade deadline. This is a must if they want to make another run come the postseason.

The lack of depth for Boston is alarming. After Tatum and Brown, the team struggles to find options on the offensive end. Kemba Walker has not been able to get comfortable in Boston since coming over in free agency. The Celtics have watched the top teams in the East improve and the front office should decide to pull the trigger on a trade if one presents itself.

This could be the deal. Horford knows Boston and is comfortable in their system. He would give them immediate size and ability down low. Horford could benefit from a change of scenery.

These two could reunite and create something interesting in Boston. An improvement in the frontcourt could take the Celtics to that next level that they need to in the East.
