This Hornets-Lakers trade features Terry Rozier to L.A.

The Los Angeles Lakers made some moves in the offseason that showed they are not satisfied with just one championship. They are a team that wants to become the next great dynasty. They can do this by improving some of the lesser positions. One name to keep an eye on could be Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier.

Entering the offseason, the Lakers identified one weakness as the point guard position. Los Angeles quickly made a trade for Dennis Schroder. The Oklahoma City Thunder sent their guard to Los Angeles for a package that included Danny Green.

The Lakers then signed Montrezl Harrell in free agency to further improve the front-court. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis signing extensions, the offseason was a huge success.

Now that the season has begun, the Lakers have had a chance to evaluate their team — and there are few weaknesses. Los Angeles is near the top of the Western Conference with a record of 24-11. That does not mean they will not continue to be aggressive at the deadline.

If the Lakers want to add another dynamic point guard, the Hornets are a team that has plenty of options. Charlotte used the third overall pick in the NBA Draft on LaMelo Ball and he is quickly showing that he is a star-caliber player.

Ball is averaging 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game this season. He is currently third on the team in scoring behind Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier. Rozier is the guard that could be on the move. He has great value and the Hornets could take advantage.

It would be a big deal if Rozier was sent to Los Angeles to join a team that is already championship material. Let’s take a look at a trade that would send Rozier from the Hornets to the Lakers.
