Boston Celtics – Norman Powell
Outside of the Celtics’ three superstar players in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker, this team has almost zero production and with Marcus Smart out, it makes things even worse. Norman Powell would be a hard get for the Celtics since he holds so much value to the Raptors, but he could be just the guy they need to help run things on the court when Tatum, Brown or Walker are out of the game.
Norman Powell is the guy not talked about enough on the Raptors and could have a huge impact on the Celtics chances of winning a title this season. The 27-year old guard is now in his sixth season in the NBA and after emerging as a high-impact player last year, Powell has had a breakout season to this point.
So far in 32 games with the Raptors, Powell has averaged 17.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and is shooting 43.2% from three-point range. He is a big factor in the Raptors success to this point in the season, which is why it would be very hard for the Celtics to try and pursue him in a trade.
Given the overall lack of talent and consistency at every position for the Celtics, adding a guy like Norman Powell not only gives them a very reliable building block, but gives them another reliable contributor who could step up and be this team’s fourth, reliable scoring option.

Given his athleticism and scoring abilities, Norman Powell is definitely a guy to keep an eye on if you are a Celtics fan. Bringing him to Boston could be tough, but he is exactly the kind of complimentary player they need to potentially make a deep playoff run once again.
