Why This Trade Would Benefit The Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns added one of the best players at the most important positions in the league. Chris Paul has made an immediate difference for a team looking to get back to the postseason.
The backcourt of Devin Booker and Chris Paul is one of the best in the league and will be for the duration of the season. As Phoenix looks to continue their journey to the postseason, they could look to add a shooter.
PJ Tucker benefited from having James Harden on the team because of his ability to drive and kick. The Rockets lack that ability this season and it has directly impacted Tucker’s production. The idea of going to Phoenix and playing with Paul should put a big smile on the face of Tucker.
He is a starting-caliber player with plenty of experience in the postseason. Also, he is in the final year of his deal. The Suns would have options on what to do with the sharpshooter once we hit the offseason.
Right away, this deal would benefit the Suns greatly. They are a very well-rounded team, especially with do-it-all players like Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges. They could continue to improve by getting that three-point percentage up a bit.
