Washington Wizards Receive: Myles Turner

Indiana Pacers Receive: Rui Hachimura, Troy Brown Jr., Ish Smith, 2021 1st Round Pick

Myles Turner is an underrated big in the league. He is elite on the defensive end with his game coming along on the other end. Never have the Pacers involved him offensively much as a playmaker and he’s mostly been relegated to spacing the floor. Being the lone big man on the floor for a team could help him have a legitimate breakout.

The Wizards need a player with Myles Turner’s skill-set. Washington’s defense has been terrible over the last few years and that has seemingly held them back from taking the next step as a team. Time is running out to build a winner around Bradley Beal and this would jumpstart things.

Turner is averaging 13.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest this season despite being in a low usage role yet again. He currently leads the league with 3.4 blocks per game. Turner is under a team-friendly contract making $17.5 million per year. This is a bargain when looking at the player.

In return, the Pacers should demand at least one first-round pick and a replacement big like Rui Hachimura. Troy Brown Jr. and Ish Smith would complete the package. Indiana would be getting assets all over the floor and in the form of draft capital.

Let’s take a look and see how this deal would help both sides moving forward.
