Keep Adding More Shooting Around Giannis Antetokounmpo

One of the main goals of the Milwaukee Bucks this past offseason was to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with reliable shooters and scorers and that is exactly what they did. The Bucks added Bryn Forbes, Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday, D.J. Augustin, Torrey Craig and re-signed Pat Connaughton. All of these players have made a difference for Milwaukee on the perimeter this season and all are shooting over 38% from three-point range.

The Bucks have one of the best three-point shooting attacks in the league, which is why Lou Williams would be a great addition and fit for this team in the backcourt. Over the course of his career, Williams is a 35% shooter from deep, but is currently shooting a career best 38.3% from three-point range this year.

Lou Williams is a proven scorer in the backcourt off-the-bench and would be another weapon this team could look to utilize to take a lot of pressure off of Giannis Antetokounmpo to make every single play. It is not a question of whether or not the Bucks will make the playoffs, but the question is whether or not this team can match up offensively with teams like the 76ers and Nets, two teams who are amongst the league’s best in scoring.

Milwaukee has a lot of weapons on the offensive end of the court already, but over half of their team cannot create opportunities for themselves. Most of the role players on this team just sit on the perimeter and shoot three-pointers when the ball finds them, which is fine during the regular season, but will hurt this team in the postseason.

This team needs another playmaker and someone they can turn to off-the-bench to make some plays, which is why Lou Williams would be a great fit. He has that score-first mentality the Bucks need on their roster in the backcourt and could complement guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton quite nicely off-the-bench.
