Why This Trade Would Benefit The Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns have been near the bottom of the Western Conference for long enough. It is time that Devin Booker gets into the playoffs and Chris Paul is just a player to help take him there. If they want to climb even further up, they could be aggressive at the NBA trade deadline like they were in the offseason.
This moved showed fans that the Suns are going for it completely. Jerami Grant was the big signing in Detroit in the offseason and it has paid off as he has had great individual success. That has not translated to team success and they to look to make a deal.
The Suns would be the perfect landing spot for Jerami Grant because he would be able to join a team with hopes of contending. He would fit well into the offense because of his ability to be a ‘3-and-D’ guy on the perimeter in addition to his improved general scoring talent.
The Suns would also get a veteran back up point guard in Derrick Rose. The duo of Rose and Chris Paul would keep the offense in line throughout the season. It is time about time the Suns get back to the playoffs. This is something that could happen if they make a move such as this one. It would be great to see what Devin Booker could do on the NBA’s big stage.
