Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are a win-now team with hopes of taking that step towards a championship. They were able to make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals a season ago and could be poised for that once again. This deal would give them to veteran players looking to contend for a championship before calling it a career.

Both DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge are playing at a high-level this season. DeRozan is scoring 19.6 points per contest while Aldridge is still a threat in the post and as a stretch-big. Both players would provide a needed offensive boost for a team looking to pull off an NBA title run.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown currently lead the charge for Boston and this deal will give them some help. The Celtics have a chance to put together a complete roster at the NBA trade deadline and it will be interesting to see what they do.

They would give up some young players but it is nothing that they would say no too. Kemba Walker has been featured in NBA trade rumors and this could be the deal that finally sent him away.
