Why This Trade Would Benefit The San Antonio Spurs
There is no keeping Gregg Popovich down. There is just a feeling that the Spurs are going to find a way back into the playoffs this year. Early on, they are 11-10 and it is because of their balanced offense.
The Spurs currently have seven guys averaging double-digit points per game. It is led by DeMar DeRozan with 19.5 while Murray is scoring 14.6 a night. Mills is currently tied for fourth on the team with 14.1 points per game while shooting 41.9% from three-point range.
Kyle Kuzma would come in and immediately contribute to this balanced offense. He would be a welcomed addition and fit into the game plan a Popovich likes to run.
Kuzma has struggled with some inconsistencies over the course of his career with the Lakers but that could change with a franchise like the Spurs. If they deal there veteran players, it would be interesting to see what roster is put together in San Antonio.
