Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: Tim Hardaway Jr., Jalen Brunson, James Johnson, 2025 1st Round Pick

D’Angelo Russell is the perfect candidate to go to the Dallas Mavericks. He will team up with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis to give them some more help along the perimeter.

Dallas would have to part ways with some pieces but it would be worth it in the end. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been the Mavericks’ biggest trade piece in all talks. Jalen Brunson and James Johnson will join Hardaway Jr. on his way to Minnesota.

Trading D’Angelo Russell means that Minnesota would also be able to get a first-round pick back as well. In the short-term, the Timberwolves could rely on Jalen Brunson or Ricky Rubio more at the point guard position to focus on Anthony Edwards’ development within the offense.
