Getting traded to a legit title contender would be an ideal destination for Lonzo Ball, especially given his competitiveness and willingness to want to win games. Much like in Phoenix, Ball would be coming off-the-bench for the 76ers. However, being able to play alongside a guy like Ben Simmons makes the 76ers a very good passing team.

Lonzo Ball is a great passer and Ben Simmons is one of the best passers in the NBA today. With these two on the court at the same time, not only would Philadelphia have plenty of options in terms of pick-and-roll sets, but they would be able to find open teammates at-will.

Outside of Ben Simmons, the 76ers do not really have a legit point guard, which could hurt them if Simmons was to get hurt or come playoff time when they will need backcourt depth. Guys like Shake Milton and Seth Curry can be ball-handlers for this team, but they are not close to being the passers and facilitators that Lonzo Ball is.

Adding Lonzo Ball to this team gives them a second playmaker and could really expand their offense. Last season, the 76ers ranked 8th in the NBA in assists per game, but with the addition of Ball, Philadelphia could end up being the best passing team in the league.

It would be interesting to see who the 76ers would give up in a trade for Lonzo Ball because they are tight on cap space and Ball would be bringing in an $11M contract with him. The 76ers could make a trade for Lonzo work, but it could definitely affect their depth on the wing.
