Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

The benefit for the Celtics in this deal is simple. Montrezl Harrell is a top-notch big man that would improve and balance the lineup in Boston immediately. This is what the Celtics need if they want to take the next steps toward a championship.

The Eastern Conference has improved. There are many teams that are more well-balanced than Boston at the moment. It’s going to be an extremely entertaining postseason and the Celtics know they have to improve at the deadline before we get there.

Montrezl Harrell is averaging 13.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He has played in eight games for the Lakers and has come off the bench in everyone of them. From the floor this season, Harrell is shooting 63.1%.

If the Celtics are looking to improve in the frontcourt, there are a few better names on the market than Montrezl Harrell. It would be surprising to see the Lakers part ways but it is not impossible. If it happens, the Celtics should be the first team on the phone.
