Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Tristan Thompson, Aaron Nesmith
Boston Celtics Receive: Montrezl Harrell
This trade reunites former teammates. LeBron James and Thompson spent many years together in Cleveland. They were a part of the 2016 championship team, the only one the Cavaliers ever had.
It would be interesting to see the two team up once again in hopes of winning another ring. The Lakers could use another dirty work specialist to complete the bench unit ahead of another NBA championship run.
In return, the Boston Celtics would solve their problems in the frontcourt. Daniel Theis has shown that he is not a starter and would benefit from being a backup. Montrezl Harrell would immediately improve the forward position for the Celtics.
Let’s take a look and see how this trade would benefit both the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
