Miami Heat Receive: Lonzo Ball, JJ Redick

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Kelly Olynyk, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Iguodala, 2022 1st Round Pick

Lonzo Ball is a name that recently has been thrown around in different rumors. He has been linked to big market teams including the heat. Redick would also go to the Miami Heat in this deal to help the team from three-point range. This is something they already have with Duncan Robinson but could use a veteran sharpshooter to be a leader.

This trade would be a dump for the Pelicans. In return, they would acquire Kendrick Nunn. He is one of the promising young players in the game. New Orleans would also get a first-round pick which would help in their rebuild.

Andre Iguodala and Kelly Olynyk are veteran players on short-term contracts so there is no risk. In the short-term, New Orleans would gain a temporary stretch-big option while adding help on the wing.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit both sides.
