Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors would benefit right away by adding another rising star to the team. Jerami Grant is off to a hot start this season and he would also benefit from playing for a team like Golden State. Grant seems to check all the boxes that would fit him into the Warriors’ scheme.
Grant has shown an ability to take over a game offensively. He has scored at least 22 points in each of the last 10 games. Grant has taken his offensive game to the next level. He can shoot from deep and handle the ball out on the perimeter. Curry is in need of a reliable scoring threat within the offense.
Both Wiggins and Oubre Jr. have been inconsistent through 15 games this season. This leaves Curry by himself on the perimeter with some young options down low such as James Wiseman and Eric Paschall.
If the Warriors want to return to the championship level that they have grown accustomed to, they will have to make some sort of deal. It will be interesting to see what the front office does prior to the deadline.
