This Clippers-Hornets trade sends an intriguing guard to L.A.

The Los Angeles Clippers came into the season as one of the best teams in the Western Conference. They are looking for a better finish to the year than they had last season in the NBA Bubble. They can have a better year by improving the point guard position.

This was a reason why the Clippers struggled in the playoffs. They did not have depth at the point guard position to team up with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. This is something they could target in a trade prior to the deadline. One team that has great depth in the backcourt is the Charlotte Hornets. They would be the perfect trade partner for Los Angeles.

The Charlotte Hornets may have a helpful option for the Clippers to pursue in Terry Rozier. They used the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on LaMelo Ball. This is after having Devonte’ Graham completing a break out season and signing Rozier in free agency.

The Hornets are set up well at the guard position but struggle down low. The Clippers have intriguing assets they could be able to send to Charlotte in return for one of their guards.

These two teams are heading in different directions this season we could help each other in the trade market. Here is a potential deal that would benefit both sides.
