Why This Trade Would Benefit The Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets lost Jeremi Grant in free agency from last year’s team. This was a big loss, even though it might not seem like it on the surface. His role was extremely important and Denver could be looking for a player to fill in that role.

This is where Andrew Wiggins would be beneficial. He is not much of a threat from three-point range but can use his speed and athleticism to get to the basket. He defends well and could be used as a small forward option for the Nuggets.

This would help give the team another weapon to go with Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. If Michael Porter Jr. takes the next step this year, then the Nuggets will continue to be a force.

Denver was included in NBA trade rumors throughout the offseason involving both Will Barton and Gary Harris all offseason. They are there two biggest trade pieces that they would be willing to part ways with and could land them another big-time player.
