This Nuggets-Warriors trade gives both sides a needed shakeup

Both the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets were teams expected to compete in the Western Conference this season. Early on, they could both use a shakeup to their roster. They might be able to help each other in a deal prior to the NBA trade deadline.

It is clear the Warriors need help on the perimeter. Steph Curry is healthy and playing some of the best ball of his career early on. He has been able to make up a bit for the loss of Klay Thompson to a torn Achilles. Nonetheless, Curry cannot do it all by himself.

Opposing defenses do not have to worry about anyone else along the perimeter. This is where the Nuggets could come in with a trade to help the Warriors. Of course, this deal will not be one-sided.

The Nuggets are another team looking to contend for a championship out of the West. They are coming off a Western Conference Finals appearance led by their dynamic duo of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. To dethrone the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver might have to add another piece moving forward.

These two sides might be able to help each other out sooner than later. Let’s take a look at a potential deal that would benefit both sides in the immediate future.
