This would be the second time in less than a month that Victor Oladipo is traded away. The Indiana Pacers were able to finally find a trade partner and the Rockets could look for the same.

The Dallas Mavericks are the perfect destination given the fit and the need of another big name alongside Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. They have been linked in NBA trade rumors for quite some time as a potential landing spot for Oladipo — prior to the Pacers sending him in part of the blockbuster James Harden deal.

James Johnson and Dwight Powell would be the players sent to Houston in this exchange to match salary. The Rockets would also get a first-round pick in 2024 from Dallas.
