This Mavs-Rockets trade features Victor Oladipo pairing up with Luka Doncic

Both the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets have been involved in rumors since the beginning of the NBA offseason. One team has made many blockbuster deals while the other has sat on their hands up until now. This could change in an instant predicated around Victor Oladipo.

The Rockets sent Russell Westbrook to Washington early in the offseason. The James Harden-saga finally came to an end when he was sent to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for some young players and a ton of draft capital.

Ultimately, Houston acquired Victor Oladipo. This is another saga that got done out of Indiana. Oladipo is in the final year of his contract and has not signed an extension just yet. If there is no intent, Oladipo could be sent to Dallas.

The Mavericks have one of the best young players in the league and Luka Doncic. When healthy, Kristaps Porzingis joins and creates an intriguing duo in the Western Conference. The front office has played around with the idea of adding another big name star to the roster. Oladipo could be that big name. Mark Cuban is an owner that likes to make the big move and could sign Oladipo long-term.

This is a move that would help Houston move toward a rebuild while Dallas attempts to compete in the conference. Here is what a potential deal could look like that would send Oladipo to Dallas.
